Wet Room
The wet room is a bathroom that features the shower set on the wall but with the difference that the floor is used to channel the shower water down a drain usually in the centre and not in a cubicle or tray. If you decide that you want to construct a new wet room in your home, you will be faced with a couple of choices for the flooring that you can put down, firstly, a floor of tiles. Richmond Plumbers can fit wet room tiles or vinyl flooring. These are the two routes you can take. Tiles are a lot more complicated and can be a real nightmare if not laid correctly. The vinyl alternative can look like a public baths or a hospital operating room. There is a much better range of designs these days and they have lost the clinical look. Consider: a). The waste-water needs to be routed from the wet room so it must be lower than floor level. This means that you will either have to run it beneath the floorboards or cut out a section of the concrete floor for the required 40mm depth of pipe. Using a pump is another way to lift the waste to the main soil stack. For this, the floor will need to be absolutely flat and of course level. Self-leveling compound is the best idea.
